a. In Palampur, about one-third of the 450 families are land less, I.e. 150 families most of them dalits have no land for cultivation
b. 240 families who own land, cultivate small plots of land less than 2 hectares
c. 60 families cultivate more than 2 hectares of land. Only few rich farmers cultivate land more than 10 hectares.
