Before the trade started and thrived through the oceans, the land routes were influenced the trade in a much bigger way.

The land routes are found to be the only route that took many Indian epics, mathematical ideas and commodities across the globe. The passes between the ranges of India are found to be much older.

The land routes are the only form of trade route the encouraged trade and communication in ancient India when the oceans in the south posses some difficulties.

Silk Route is one of the oldest land route of India that connected the east and west part of the world with India.
