The poet believes nature to be a source of inspiration. It soothes him and heals his bad mood. The crow sheds off the snow from hemlock tree , bad times come to be shed off. Someday or the other the sun will bring your day.

The whole poem is set in a natural landscape. A crow shakes down the dust of snow on him from a hemlock tree. Hence a crow, the hemlock tree and the snow are the representatives of the nature.
