large dams have many negativities.They affect life socially , economically and environmentally.
socially:people living in that area have to get displaced.If land is agricultural then they lose their income source.It takes a lot of time to get settled at new place and it is quite difficult to do so
economically:making dam require large amount of capital
environmentally:flora and fauna of the place is severely affected.Forest get submerged.Forest is also cut fir this purpose
