In two recent awareness-raising campaigns, Sonke Gender Justice had the privilege of working alongside other activists and organisations who are also working to transform their communities and end violence against women and girls.

1. Preaching to them to reignite their faith, hope and belief system
2. Religious leaders tend to become a pillar of support and a role model for the victims
3. Helping the victims with all the physical comfort by sending them to hospitals / rehabilitation centers

Explanation:

Whenever a person is abused basis their gender, the abuse affects all aspects of their lives, hence religious beliefs amidst this could be source of hope among these victims. Some ways by which these organizations have helped these victims are :

1.) By preaching to them, reigniting their faith and belief system and giving them hope that things would become better

2.) The religious leaders tend to become a pillar of support and a role model for the victims

3.)The religious leaders and their organization, they direct the people to hospitals or rehabilitation centers, thereby helping them through which the victims can be healed physically
