The basin in the eastern India is formed as a result of the many tributaries from Ganga and Brahmaputra river. It is a plain area which has been considered as basin.
After following all due courses, Brahmaputra streams into other countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Nepal. It flows through the northern states on India like Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
There are several crops that has been grown in the plain like Wheat, maize, sorghum, gram and millets etc. Cash crops which are sugarcane and jute are also grown. Banana plantations are seen in some areas of the plain.
