(i) These routes have contributed in the exchange  of idea and commodities.

(ii) The idea of Upanishads and Ramayana, the  stories of Panchatantra, Indian numerals and decimal system could reach other parts of the  world.

(iii) The spices, muslin and other merchandises were taken from India to different countries.
