Mendeleev's periodic table was on the basis of atomic mass but the morden periodic table was based on atomic number and electronic confurigation .
There were many default in mendeleev's table like:
- Position of hydrogen is not fixed.
- atomic mass rule was not strictly followed. some element of heavier mass are placed before tge lighter one.
- there was no space for isotopes.
Hence modern periodic table has no such mistakes and it overcome the mendeleev's periodic table.
