Answer: there are variety of tribes in India. our constitution is drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. he was from a dalit family. dalit is a minority group.

so, while drafting the constitution, he mentioned all the minority groups, so that they do not face discrimination and can get equal rights. this is how the various tribes of India were added in the diverse heritage of India.
