Plays a vital role in the overall development of any Economy. It is both means and of Economic development. Human resource development and human development are linked together. The difference between the human resource and human development that the former considered human beings as means to an ends whereas later considered human beings as end themselves. The concept of human resource development considered the role of human beings as source for development of economy.

The objective of development is not simply to produce more goods and services for materials progress, but also to enlarge the capabilities of people to lead productive and satisfying lives.The capacity and ability acquired by the human beings through better education and health facilities are used as means to the attainment of rapid economic growth which is the ultimate aim of the nation. Investment in human being is undertaken, not for the development of the human beings for his own development, but purely from the view point of the Economy. This aspect of development is called human resource development. Human resource development is a long and continuing process of increasing knowledge, skills ,capacities , positive work attitudes and values of all people. All the efforts are directed to improve their conditions note for their own welfare but for the Economic betterment of the nation.

Human development maintains relationship of economic development with human beings and their quality of life. The concept of human development

is much broader. It considered human being not as a means but as an end of all development processes,productivity equity sustainability and empowerment important concept of human development. These require focuses on education, health, family welfare, nutrition,sanitation, drinking water, rural development, housing and social welfare etc. It is the quality of life which determines the quality of human resources in the economy. India is ranked -4 out of 177 countries.

Here we are talking about professional approach.Literacy is something which is mandatory and health is for overall well being of mind and body.Your brain controls your bodily actions/reflexes.If you are of sound mentality which is shaped by your health and education, then your response to a situation/task is appropriate and suited.
