How high can a ladder safely reach?
Would a 51-foot ladder actually be long enough to climb a 50-foot wall?
1. OSHA is an agency responsible for workplace safety, read its rule and sketch a diagram that shows the proper relationship between the ladder, wall and ground

2. Calculate the angle that the ladder makes with the ground using a trigonometric ratio.
3. If a ladder is x feet long, how high up a wall can it safely reach?
4. Would a 51-foot ladder be long enough to climb a 50-foot wall? Sketch a graph and find your answer using a trigonometric ratio.
5. If you wanted to safely climb a 50-foot wall, what’s the shortest ladder you’d be willing to use? Explain.
6. If you were 1 foot shorter, could you use a ladder that’s 1 foot taller? Explain

Ladder is inclined at an angle of around 75 deg for Safe climbing

Step-by-step explanation:

If you wanted to safely climb a 50-foot wall,

Ladder angle should be around 75 deg

( there is a rule for every 4 ft to climb ladder should be 1 ft away from wall)

Sin 75°  =  Height you want to climb/Height of Ladder

=> Height of Ladder = Height you want to climb/Sin 75°

=> Height of Ladder = 50/0.966

=> Height of Ladder =  51.7  ft

Hence 51 ft Ladder would not be enough

52 ft longer ladder will be prefeered for safe climbing

if you are 1 foot Shorter  than using  a ladder that's 1 foot taller

as 1 ft ladder height = 0.996 ft wall height

and u r 1 ft  shorter hence slightly lesser so better to use more than 1 ft longer ladder
