After reaching highest point, the ball velocity is starting increasing again but in downwards direction with an acceleration of about 9.8m/s ^2. A body is thrown vertically upward with a velocity of 10 m/s.

\huge{\mathfrak{Question:-}}

How high (in meters) can a human throw a ball if he can throw it with initial velocity 90 mph.

\huge{\mathfrak{Solution:-}}

\sf{We\;know\;that,}

\sf{1\;mile=1609\;m}

\sf{\implies 90\;mph=\frac{90\times 1609}{3600}\;m/s}

\sf{\implies \frac{1609}{40}\;m/s}

\sf{At\;maximum\;height\;\;\;v=0}

\sf{\implies v^{2}=u^{2}-2gh}\\ \\ \\ \implies h = \frac{u^{2}}{2g}

\sf{h_{max}=\frac{1609\times 1609}{40\times 40\times 2\times 9.8}}

\sf{\implies \frac{2588881}{31360}}

\boxed{\sf{h_{max}=82.5\;m}}
