The himalayas are divided from east to west direction:
1.) punjab himalaya:  The  region between the Indus and Stulej rivers is called punjab himalaya.
2.) kmayun himalaya: The region between the Satluj and kali rivers mainly in Uttarkhand.
3.) nepal himalaya:     The region between the Kali and Tista rivers. This is the middle part of himalaya.
4.)assam himalaya:     The region between the Tista and Dihang Rivers. This is the Eastern part of himalaya.
