Anthropogenic pressure such as huge scale encroachment of lake bed for aqua farms, irresponsible use of fertilizers and pesticides, fish/prawn culture activities, domestic wastes and sewage, discharge of industrial effluents and agriculture run-off have vitally affected and altered adversely the ecological processes e.g. Indiscriminate exploitations of the Kolleru Lake have evidently resulted in the depletion of fish fauna leading to folding and other negative impacts (Krishna et al., 2013). Similarly, as per Toppo et al. (2014) in central India due to pressure of local people on Badalkhole sanctuary for daily needs, the depletion of the vegetation has accelerated and it was postulated that if this continues at the same pace, many of the rare and endangered plants will become extinct. ...
