I did ICSE too, gosh! Why would you do that?! It's like when these CBSE kids are learning addition and subtraction, ICSE teaches us to make Mars rovers, like not even kidding. Okay, so even if you haven't done brilliantly in studies, don't worry, trust me, I mean it. I was carefree enough till class 9, I got 90% above in only two subjects out of 10 and even my finals and preboards weren't quite epic, too but I managed to get a 95% in class 10 ICSE boards. What I'm trying to say is, no matter how much you refrain from studying, ICSE will make you study, forcefully. I saw my CBSE friends chilling and partying all year whereas, on the other hand, I had exams and tests going on all the time. Class 10 CBSE has literally half the syllabus than ICSE which makes it even tougher but ICSE gives you enough time to self evaluate because later this year, around October you'll be done with your syllabus, then you'll have finals (having the entire syllabus), then pre boards and then before boards around 1.5 month to revise and do past years papers of the same syllabus for which you've given exams twice already, also the board papers are comparatively way easier than the school ones but the catch here is, you must not take the finals and preboards casually, only if you study for them will you get to know your weak areas and the parts of syllabus you still need to work on. Coming to the concentration part, studying 3-4 hours a day is more than enough, just shut your phone in that time, calm your mind and think about the anxiety which bothers you the night before the exam because of not completing the syllabus on time, think how would you feel if you're done with your syllabus a night before and have a great sleep before the exam, think about how you'll feel when you get above 90% as your aggregate. I think all this should be enough to motivate you to sit and actually study with in divided attention. Frankly speaking, everyone actually does study, no matter what they come and say to you, so do what your classmates and form-mates are also doing, some don't study initially but ultimately everyone does, so don't waste your time now when you're pretty relaxed, try to cover whatever has been done in school before holidays. Also, don't procrastinate too much with your projects,do them in the holidays so that when you have tests and exams going on back to back, you actually don't have sit back and do those projects, trust me it's very frustrating, so finish them now so that you get time to study when you're actually suppose to and not waste time on the projects, also do them nicely as they decide 20 marks out of 100 in every subject. Do whatever is done in the class the same day when you get home, don't build on too much to cover up at the end, doesn't work. There is this whole air about ICSE boards being hard, if you do what is required at the right time, everything will fall in place, don't stress, have a positive attitude, try and balance your social life and studies and all will be well. Although you will hate all that studying and staying at home when your friends and family are going out but ICSE class 10 is a beautiful journey in itself, it teaches you time management, self studying, perseverance and most importantly, working hard. So sit back, relax, go with the flow, enjoy it but don't forget to study and chill also a bit. I hope this was of some help, best of luck!
