Judiciary is independent as no minister has right to overlook the decision made by it.
Judiciary do not depend on executive or judiciary for it's decision.
It has immense power so that it can ensure that government is functioning within constitutional limits.

Independence of judiciary is led by supreme court. The indian constitution protects the citizen from any partial judgment. And this gives to power to the judiciary to make desicions based on the rules of the law, in case of any dispute... The independence of judiciary calls for 'seperation of powers'.
