Being Sovereign is to be autonomous/ act independently.
In simple words,
The judiciary in India can cancel/set aside any legislative act passed by the parliament viz. Aadhaar Act as Money Bill: Why the Lok Sabha isn't Immune from Judicial Review
But in Britain, the parliament is supreme so the judiciary can not set aside any act passed by it.
That's why British parliament is called Sovereign but Indian parliament is not.
