Answer: Indian secularism differs from western secularism in the following way:

The context of origin of the Western Secularism is from the dark ages and of the Indian secularism is from the multi religious.

The purpose of the Western secularism is to liberate from the religion and of the Indian secularism is providing protection to the state equally.

The Sabarimala Temple in Sabarimala in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, India did not allowed the women of menstrual age to enter the temple since 1991. In the year 2018 in September Supreme Court passed the verdict that any person irrespective of gender and age is allowed to enter the temple.
