yes .the insects pest attack the plants and reduces the yield.some insects eats the parts of the plant like stem, branches,leaves, flowers , and so on.some also suck nutrients from the plants.so the plant does not get proper nutrients.further the crop production will also be reduced...these pests and insects effect largely on crop production.

Mainly insecet peast make hole in root, stem etc. But many other pests eat the crop and some others have toxic elements wich mixup in crop and thus pest reduses yield
