insectivorous plant feeds on insect to meet the requirement of nitrogen. In some plants such as pitcher plant, Venus flytrap, nepenthes,bladderwort it can be observed.

In plants such as pitcher plant the leaf is modified into pitcher which catches the insect coming near to it
