Herbivores are animals that eat only plants. Carnivores are animals that eat only meat. Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and meat. The size of an animal does not determine what it eats. Some of the biggest animals eat only plants, and very tiny animals can be carnivores.

Carnivorous Animals eat only the flesh of other animals but herbivorous animals eat only the plants, grasses & leaves of trees. Even though there are some carnivorous plants like Venus flytrap, Pitcher plant who eat only Insects. Those plants are known as carnivorous plants OR Insect eating Plants. There are no herbivorous plants for sure!

Examples of Herbivorous Animals: Horse, Elephant, Monkey, Etc.

Examples of Carnivorous Animals: Tiger, Lion, Wolves, Etc.

Examples of Carnivorous Plants: Venus Flytrap, Pitcher Plant, Sundews, etc.
