Take a iron nail, a copper wire insulated, dry cell.

Steps for electromagnet:-

1) Wrap the insulated copper wire to the iron nail.

2) It is totally depend on you that how much you want to wrap the wire, according to me wrap the wire more than 10 circle.

3) the wire should be tightly  wrap.

4) the starting point and the ending point of wire, should be connected to

dry cell.

5) both the side of dry cell {+ -}.

follow this steps to form a electromagnet.

 Due to the electric charge on the nail as well as the flow of electron from positive node(+) to negative node(-) it create a magnetic field around the nail and the nail act as a magnet.
