how is a nucleus different from nuleoid?

nucleus is a membrane bound organelle which is present in cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells.nucleus is the control centre of cell.it contain genetic material.
nucleoid is the region in a cell in prokaryotes which contain nucleic acid but which is not bounded by membrane.it is analogous in function to the nucleus in eukaryotic cells.
