it is a Meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky . it takes the form of multi coloured circular arc. rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section offside directly opposite to the sun

I hope it helps you

Answer:

Rainbows are formed when sunlight is scattered from raindrops into the eyes of an observer. The lower the sun in the sky the more of an arc of a rainbow the viewer will see. Rain, fog or some other source of water droplets must be in front of the viewer.
