A vector can be represented either by a single letter in bold face or by a single letter with arrow head on it .



geometrically a vector can be represented by a straight line with an arrow head, I.e. arrowed line drawn on a suitable scale represent the magnitude and arrow Head represent the direction of the given vector.



For example:



A velocity 50m/s due east represent by line AB of Length 5 cm, with an arrow Head pointing east, on the scale 1cm =10 m/s.
