Well rain droplets don't hav acids in them at the beginning. When downpour take place the toxic gases having complicated molecular structures immerse in the rain drops. These gases include Sulphur dioxide, Nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, even CFCs get dissolved in them at relatively lower heights.

Thus due to polluting, toxic and oxidizing acidic gases acid rain is formed.
