asexual reproduction in which seeds are produced from unfertilized ovules. And parthenogenesis is reproduction from an ovum without fertilization, especially as a normal process in some invertebrates and lower plants. And parthenocarpy is the development of a fruit without prior fertilization.

The main difference between agamospermy and parthenogenesis and parthenocarpy is that in agamospermy process seed is produced whereas in parthenogenesis and parthenocarpy processes seed is not produced.

EXPLANATION:

AGAMOSPERMY:

  • It is a process in which seeds are produced from unfertilized ovules of fruits or vegetables.
  • Example:  mango, prickly pear, citrus fruit etc.

PARTHENOGENESIS:

  • It is a natural process.  It is also a type of asexual reproduction process which leads to production of embryos without fertilization.

PARTHENOCARPY:

  • It means forking fruit. It can be achieved artificially or naturally. It leads to production of fruits without fertilization of ovules.
