Answer:

A mucous membrane lines yournasal cavity and it helps keep yournose moist. Little hairs inside yournasal cavity help filter the air you breathe in, and block dirt and dust from getting into your lungs. When you breathe in through your mouth, or oral cavity, the air is moistened, but not filtered.

Answer:

The path of the air from outside to the alveoli of the lungs include:

1. Nostrils which consists of hair, thus trapping the dust particles and small microbes.

2. The nasal chamber which secretes mucus. The mucus again helps in trapping dust and microbes. But alongwith this, it also brings the air to the body temperature and adds humidity to it if it is dry.

3. The inner nares which are the inner openings of the nose to nasopharynx.

4. Finally the trachea. Trachea too comprises of ciliated cells which help in filtering the air.

hope you got your answer, friend.
