How is alluvial soil formed ? how is bangar alluvial different from khadar

Alluvial soil is the main and important soil that spreads across the river plains. They are formed by deposition of materials or sediments (alluvium) brought in down by rivers that consist of silt, sand, clay, etc.

When the velocity of river water decreased, sediments gets deposited form suspension. Such soil are called as alluvial soil. It consists of alternate layers of sand+silt+clay. It is formed by the river carried huge deposits such as sand, silt and clay.

KHADAR SOIL:-

(1) It is a new alluvial soil

(2) Lower concentration of January nodules

(3) It is more fine particles

(4) It is more fertile

BANGOR SOIL:-

(1) It is an old alluvial soil

(2) Higher concentration of kankar nodules

(3) It has lass fine particles

(4) It is less fertile
