How is ammonia prepared in laboratory

Ammonia gas is usually prepared in the lab by gently heating ammoniumchloride and slaked lime . Ammoniagas is lighter than air, necessitating it's collection by the downword displacement of air .Because it is highly soluble in water it cannot be collected over it.
