for example if we take breeds of dogs which have been developed by man for using them as pets have increased the no. of dogs of of a particular breed which is an example of directional selection as it has caused inter specific competition for dogs of other species so we can say that man made artificial selection has accelerated the process of natural selection but this could not be called natural selection in true sense as the driving force is anthropocentric
