The atomic power can basically be produced by two methods, Fission and Fusion.

First we need to understand that all radioactive materials are constantly decaying (breaking up into smaller atoms) since their current configuration does not allow them to stay in-situ for a longer period. Atomic power is produced leveraging this concept.

Fission - break big atoms into smaller ones. When this happens, there is an excess of proton/neutron depending upon the break. That excess cannot stay alone and thus it emits energy. The common example is an atom bomb.

Fusion - join two or more unstable atoms to give a bigger atom. Here also the same excess provides the energy. Common example is the reaction which keeps sun burning (Hydrogen to Helium

hai guys,

nuclear energy originates from the splitting of urate atoms -a process called fission. this generates heat to produce steam, which is used by a turbine generator to generate electricity. because nuclear power plants do not burn fuel, they do not produce greenhouse gas emissions.
