Question :-

How is bacteria helpful in making nitrogen available to the plant and enriching soil with nitrogen salt ?

Answer :-

The symbiotic bacteria also depend on plants for survival and in return it gives important nitrogen salts to make the soil fertile.

The symbiotic bacteria present in the soil absorb nitrogen from the atmosphere.

Then they convert this nitrogen into other nitrogenous compounds or salts.

Thus they make the soil fertile by adding nitrogenous compounds to the soil.

This process is called nitrogen fixation.

some of the bacteria like rhizobium, having the Nif gene in their genome, which is actually help to the nitrogen fixation.when the bacteria associated with the higher plants root big gene
produce the enzyme and some chemical compounds which helps to form the root nodules . for, the gene action they fix atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia .
N2^nitrate ^nitrites^Ammonia
