The process in which we inhale oxygen ,our diaphragm tightens and move downwards. This increase the space in chest cavity, into which your lungs expand. The intercostal muscles between your ribs also help enlarge the chest cavity. They contract to pull your rib cage both upward and outward when you inhale.

Hi friend here is your answer--
To equalize the pressure ,air enters the lungs. When the diaphragm relaxes and moves back up, the elasticity of the lungs and chest wall pushes air out of the lungs......The work of breathing is done by the diaphragm, the muscles between the ribs(intercostal muscles), the muscles in the neck and the abdominal muscles. The exhalation and inhalation of air is done by the nose.
Hope this helps!!!!
