Hey mate, here is your answer :
No new substances are formed. In a burning candle, there are both physical and chemical changes. The melting of the solid wax to form liquid wax and the evaporation of liquid wax to form wax vapour are physical changes. The burning of the wax vapour is a chemical change.
Hope this answer helps you...!!!

Hey there !
Burning of candle is both physical and chemical change because the physical changes in the candle is that the wax melts, then freezes back into solid state again, and the chemical changes are that the wick burns, soot, and smoke. ... The chemical changes are that the wick burns, or heat + oxygen + wick = Carbon dioxide, soot, and smoke.
Hope it helps you !
