How is carbon dioxide able to control fire?

Answer:

Carbon dioxide is compressed and stored in liquid cylinders after they getting cool down they are formed as a thin layers of sheets. so when fire extinguishers are used these CO2 layers will cool down when they are released before fire. due to this carbon dioxide able to control fire.
