The cells produce carbon dioxide. It then accumulates in the cell. Therefore there is a increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide inside the cell. It creates a partial pressure. As soon as there is an increase in concentration of carbon dioxide inside the cell as compared to that outside, it gets eleminated from the cell by the process of diffusion. This carbon dioxide then gets transported to veins through capillaries. These viens then carry deoxygenated or carbon dioxide rich blood to the heart. The heart then pumps the blood to the lungs which reaches the alveoli. Then carbon dioxide is again removed from the alveoli and the body by the process of diffusion with help of same partial pressure.
