Co2 can be tested by :-
1)- Passing it over lime water ,lime water will become milkyvand on passing excess it will become colourless.
2)-Bringing a glowing spinter ,which extingiushes.
3)-Has no effect on pottassium permanganate and pottasiumdichromate
4)-Turns moist blue litmus paper faint red.

The CO2 has can be tested by passing the gas through lime water as CO2 reacts with lime water and turns it milky CO2 reacts with CaO(Lime water) to form Ca(OH)2 (Calcium Hydroxide) making it milky. If you need the chemical equation then it is below:-
CaO + H2O –––> Ca(OH)2
