how is co2 obtained by aquatic plants and animals

oxygen present in the water is taken by aquatic plants and
release carbon dioxide in the water And the aquatic plants have a special qualities they take that carbon dioxide from the water and release oxygen in the water in this way oxygen cycle carries on in the water

aquatic plants and animals obtain only little amount of co2 .They are adapted to the limittion of co2 . It is the dissolved form of co2 on which the aquatic plants depend on for performing photosynthesis .
