It is generally similar to blood plasma, which is the fluid component of blood. Lymph returns proteins and excess interstitial fluid to the bloodstream. Lymph may pick up bacteria and bring them to lymph nodes, where they are destroyed. Metastatic cancer cells can also be transported via lymph.

Lymph is a tissue fluid but the blood plasma is used to help clean the bloodimpurities and lymph is in yellow colour and blood plasma is a tissue muscles. Lymph contains less proteins and is colourless as compared toblood plasma......
