copper can be extracted from its sulphide ore by just heating.

it should first be converted into its oxide ore as it is easier to obtain a metal from its oxide or rathar than its sulphide ore.

chemical equations:

2cu2s+3o2----)2cu2o+so2

2cu2o+cu2s----)6cu+so2
