Hello!
Whenever there is a sulphide ore we will be ROASTING
The process in which Ore is heated in the presence of air is called roasting. roasting converts a sulphide Ore to metal oxide
2CuS + 3O2 ———> 2Cu2O + 2SO2
We will first burn it in presence of air and then burn CuO, which will give us Cu
Further refining can be done by electrolytic refining
