Corrosion is the formation of compounds on the surface of a metal.Corrosion of metal is a redox reactionin which occur when a metal loses electron and is oxidised to form the metal ion.

corrosion is just similar to the redox reaction because it also includes rusting of iron and in both this matter metal reacts with the substance present at the surrounding.
