This is because the more the input u will sow, the more the output u will get. The more the high yielding variety seeds u will sow, the better the crops will b so as their price.. This all applies to the fertilizers, pesticides etc

Crop production is directly proportional to inputs bcoz.. the more we spend on producing the more we get products.Its like Newton's 3rd Law.... Giving fertilizers, pesticides, good irrigation etc. will help in increasing the crop production.
