HI,
There are many differences:
India follows the Parliamentary form of Government and not the Presidential form of government. Ex: In US and Russia the most powerful government official is the President whereas in India it is the Prime Minister.
India is not a federal state in the true sense of the world. Ex: In US the states as well as the central government are sovereign. Which is why weed is legal in some states and not in others. In India only the central government is Sovereign. States can only legislate on certain topics as prescribed in the State List.
India has a written constitution. UK does not, even though our governmental structure is very similar.
India follows a multiparty system as compared to the dual party system of the US.
