how is density of a liquid measured using a density bottle

sp218: My question is that how you find the density. So do we have to measure the mass of the bottle or the Liquid...... something like that

The pycnometer is then filled with aliquid of known density, in which the powder is completely insoluble. The weight of the displaced liquid can then be determined, and hence the relativedensity of the powder.

Hope it helps!!
