democracy gives a way to different communities to raise their demands. Similarly through democracy women can be guaranteed with equal rights and representation. One way of uplifting the rights of women is to give them authority and power.
provisions in the constitution have been made such that 1/3rd of the seats in the lok sabha would be reserved for women
This step enable about 20 lakh women to be represented as political leaders.
when people raise demands, the government is forced to cater to their needs. demands for women rights have been raised which made the government intervene. for example - the government banned dowry.
democracy is better than any other form of government as it is a government built by the people for the people and of the people.

(e) In many democracies, women were deprived of their right to vote for a long time which they have achieved now.
(f) In India 1/3rd of seats have been reserved for women in local bodies.
