how is DNA compacked in the cell of eukyaryotes

Eukaryotic cells use special protein (histone) to wind up DNA and fold it nucleosomes which r compact structure.
For eg.

When a cell needs to divide, DNA is further compacted by the addition of scaffolding proteins that help divide copies of the chromosomes equally........
