The double coincidence of want is what used to occur in the barter system. It is a situation that occurred between the seller and the buyer, where the requirements and needs of both parties are not met and they are left dissatisfied. If the buyer would be unable to meet the seller's needs, the exchange simply would not occur anymore.
- However, in the current times, this is not appreciable. The barter system is no longer in the system. The value of a product or service is fixed and the buyer pays the amount with cash or digital payment. Since in the barter system, there was no fixed value the double coincidence problem would happen.
