linking is done by using anchor tag... the attributes -HREF, NAME and TITLE of <A> tag are used in linking...

  1. internal linking- to jump to another location in the same page we use internal linking... the NAME attribute is used to create the named anchor for internal linking.. E.g. <A NAME = "Section 1"> section 1</A>
  2. external linking- when one page is linked to another page or document it is called external linking...

e.g. <A HERF="next page"> click here for next page</A>...
